Personal Progress File (PPF) is designed to assist in the creation, maintenance and printing of portfolios for the United Kingdom's National Record of Achievement. It isupremely easy to use, having been designed for use by complete computer novices. It isn't even necessary for users to save their files, it is done automatically. In fact this software is loaded with failsafe features to prevent loss of data. Other easy to use features include a spell-checker and a print-preview display. A key feature of the software is its ability to automatically format and print correctly on the official pre-printed NRA sheets.

This version is designed for use in multi-user environments such as schools, colleges and training sites in the UK. It has features which allow storage, retrieval an backups of password protected files for individual users. A personal edition is also available, which is free for home use. The files created in either version are completely interchangeable so, for example, users, having prepared a file at school can take the file home on floopy disk and edit it there with the free software, or vice versa.
